Assurance Analyst
Matrix Solutions, the market leader
in providing sales management solutions for the media industry,
is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. As
a Quality Assurance Analyst, you would be responsible for assuring
that software products meet the quality expectations, standards
and objectives of our customers and our company. You'll also get
a chance to participate in other activities such as providing
internal product support and resolving customer issues as a member
of a team and as an individual.
Prior experience working for a
software company is desired.
What you will be doing:
- Performing ad-hoc behavioral and structural
testing of software programs
- Identifying, analyzing and documenting software
program defects
- Conducting performance tests
- Efficiently managing issues reported against
software systems, acting as central point of contact from issue
submission through issue closure
- Testing software programs to validate program
functions per design specification and requirements
- Performing regression tests for software
release builds
- May perform other duties and responsibilities
as assigned
You should have:
- One to five years of experience in the software
industry as a QA Analyst and/or equivalent experience in a programming
or highly technical support role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
or related field and/or equivalent combination of education
and experience
- Experience in black box and ad-hoc testing
- Knowledge and experience in software testing
methodologies
- Experience in SQL-based products, preferably
SQL Server
- Ability to stay abreast of environment and
operating system developments
- Ability to oversee or modify a schedule of
tasks with minimum supervision
- Good judgment, time management, and decision-making
skills
- Ability to be self-directed and a high performer
- Eligibility for employment in the U.S.
Additional desirable skills:
- Experience designing and implementing test
plans, test cases and procedures
- Hands-on knowledge of source control and
build tools
- Experience in quantifiably measuring changes
in product quality
- Experience with automated testing tools in
a Windows environment
- Ability to read software requirements (or
use cases) and translate into test plans
- Use of virtual machines for testing purposes
- Usability testing
You should also:
- Stay current of software quality assurance
methodologies
- Be extremely organized
- Have good interpersonal and communication
skills
- Possess Internal and external customer empathy
- Be open to change, team player, results-oriented,
and full of initiative
- Demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality
results with attention to details
