As managing partner, Gary's passion is to ensure that the founding principles of Matrix Solutions are carried through to the next generation of products, services and employees by providing strategic direction, leadership and the proverbial 10,000 foot view.

"Necessity [who] is the mother of invention" was never truer than when Gary designed the first MatrixPlus software program in an effort to give media sales managers the answers to the questions they were asked daily. They had plenty of data to analyze but it was neither easily accessible nor obviously actionable. They just needed answers! Twenty years later, the results speak for themselves. Gary's vision produced a world-class company that provides the most widely used sales management software in the media industry.

Gary is the principal owner and investor in Matrix Solutions, which he founded in 1992. He is a former media executive and it was during his tenure as head of strategic planning and research with Group W Broadcasting, KDKA-TV, that the concept of Matrix and its application to strategic selling was formed. The result was an innovative system that equipped salespeople and managers with insightful reports, robust account information, forecasting capabilities and account management functionality for a focused sales approach. Gary left Group W Broadcasting to develop and market his solution (MatrixPlus) for the media sales industry. Some of his early adopters were Group W Broadcasting, Cox Media Group, Belo, ABC, Post-Newsweek Stations Inc and Hearst Corporation.

Gary holds a B.A. with a double major in Economics and Business Management from Franklin and Marshall College.
